PulseQA

As a localization team we are often asked to objectively assess the quality of a project. How does project X compare to project Y? Did the quality improve this quarter compared to last quarter? Sure, the defect count went down—but those new defects were in different categories, and the app was only tested once as opposed to three times last quarter. Comparing one version’s data with another, or from one quarter to the next, can sometimes feel like comparing apples to oranges.

Our PulseQA plugin provides localization teams with a tool to help with this quality assessment. Based on user-specified sets of weights and pass/fail criteria, PulseQA uses a scoring algorithm to calculate a quality score for each defect category as well as the overall project. This gives users a quick overview of how a project is performing within specific categories or as a whole, and allows them to compare these scores between projects and over time. We can make an informed go/no-go recommendation whether to release your product with known defects by scoring the remaining open defects objectively.
